The story so far...
This is my life so far.... Continued living in Tasmania until 1983. Married an Ex-Student of Riverside High (David Day), & lived in Hobart where we had beautiful twin boys & a beautiful little girl. We did lots of bushwalking & did the wilderness thing (& now my children do too, Tassy is a very special place & it is all so familiar to me even though I no longer live there, I only have to see a glimpse of it on TV & immediately I know it's Tassy!! Dave was offered a terrific position to work, so moved in 1983 to Sydney, where we managed to find a great spot to live which combined big city living along with being near National Parks & half an hour from the beaches. We decided to completed our little family & had a little Sydney baby girl. In 1992 we parted ways, however we continue to be great friends & remain in constant contact - our four fantastic children have all grown up, having done a variety of things in their lives - currently one is a helicopter pilot & has a beautiful wife who is a winemaker, one is in the fire brigade, who is 'all but married' to a beautiful girl who is also a winemaker, one is a nurse, and the other is at Uni, studying management in the entertainment industry - as for myself, I am currently a real estate agent - have had a variety of positions, (& thanks to dear Mr Peach & his teaching typing, was able to work various office admin positions as well as working with the hearing impaired for 11 years in TAFENSW - & taught a few to type too, except on a computer, not the big old manual typewriters anymore thank goodness) - but am loving the real estate industry at the moment. I recently married again & live in a country town - (a little like Launceston in many ways, in as far as the people. They are quite conservative with many 'old' established farming families). It is a town where Country Music takes over on an annual basis & the whole town rocks day & night for two weeks!! One major draw-back for this area is lack of rain. I married an Italian! who is one of the most 'Australian' guys I have ever met & doesn't like Italian food! - our friends say I am more Italian than he is - I am gradually educating him to a more varied menu other than meat & potatoes! Basically - I have lived an ordinary life. I love my family - have no regrets - & am now enjoying life, learning, discovering & exploring lots of things that I can do now which I never had time to do with a young family. I hope to meet up again one day - I kept all the year books for ages, however with moving around so much, unfortunately have lost track of them. I would love to browse through them now, to jog the memory on names of friends whose faces are still so familiar in my memories from the days spent at Riverside High School. Cheers everyone !!
